As Chief Client Officer for Dentsu Aegis Network in the US, Joanne is responsible for driving integrated and innovative marketing services and solutions across DAN agencies to drive organic client retention and growth. Joanne brings her wealth of client leadership and relationship management experience to helping DAN develop and build the muscle to truly deliver integrated by design excellence.
Prior to her role at DAN, Joanne was Chief Client Officer for Merkle, a data and tech driven performance marketing agency, part of the DAN Network. Before joining DAN in 2017,
Joanne spent 16 years at Digitas, a leading global digital advertising agency and part of the Publicis Groupe. She served as Chief Operating Officer and also as President of the Digitas New York region for over 10 years where she drove significant expansion and growth of Digitas NY and Atlanta. Joanne oversaw the innovative, strategic and digital marketing programs that helped transform and build brand equity for Fortune 100 brands including American Express, Pitney Bowes, Comcast, Delta and Travelers. She tripled the number of clients, grew the region from 100 employees to over 600 employees and helped the region earn a host of awards, from 7 consecutive years as Best Places to Work in NY and Best Places to Work in Atlanta, to numerous creative and media awards including Cannes Grand Lions.
Joanne has over 30 years of advertising industry experience. Her career as an integrated marketer began in general advertising at Havas Dentsu Marsteller. She then spent 14 years in Direct Marketing at Wunderman Worldwide/Young & Rubicam. She joined DigitasLBi in 1999, at the onset of Web 2.0. Joanne is also a Director on the Board of Designer Brands Inc.
Joanne graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a BA in History and Literature. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and three children.
